Editorial Policy
How listings are verified, how ranking is decided, and how commercial content is labelled.
How listings get verified, how ranking is decided, and what we refuse to do for money.
Independence
Listing and editorial decisions are made by our team alone. No advertiser, sponsor, organiser or partner has any right of review, approval or veto. Commercial staff do not decide what is listed, how it ranks, or what the blog covers.
How listings are verified
- Every event is checked against its official page before publication.
- Organiser contact addresses are verified against the event domain where possible.
- Re-scans flag changed dates, venues and ticket links for human review instead of overwriting them.
- Duplicates are merged into one record so the same event never appears twice.
How ranking works
Organic results are ordered by relevance to the query and proximity of the date. Payment never changes that order. Promoted placements exist, sit in fixed labelled slots, and are excluded from the organic ordering entirely.
Commercial content
- Sponsored articles and promoted listings are labelled at the top and in the markup.
- Commercial outbound links carry the
sponsoredattribute. - We decline campaigns that promise returns or misrepresent regulatory status.
- No package, at any price, includes a better ranking or a verification badge.
AI use
We do not publish AI-generated articles. AI tools may assist with parsing listings, transcription or copy-editing, and a human is responsible for and named on everything published.
Corrections
Errors are corrected publicly and promptly. If you believe we have got something wrong, tell us through the contact page with the URL and a source.
